vitalink 30th Anniversary Spotlight: INLIVIAN Partnership

For three decades, vitalink has partnered with organizations to strengthen brands, build trust, and share authentic stories. One of those partnerships began in 2018 with INLIVIAN, Charlotte’s housing authority. Together, we transformed their brand, reshaped how affordable housing is perceived, and built stronger connections with the community.
Using vitalink’s Perception vs. Reality research methodology, the campaign uncovered critical insights about public perceptions of affordable housing and turned those insights into a more powerful story. The results spoke for themselves:
• Positive perception of affordable housing rose from 47% to 58%
• More than 26,800 community members engaged online
• Earned two Awards of Excellence from the National Association of Government Communicators
INLIVIAN reflected on the partnership, noting how vitalink’s detailed proposal demonstrated transparency, creativity, and communication from the very beginning. “I’ve never had to worry about being hustled… in today’s day and age, that is a beautiful thing to have.”
