The Dereck Whittenburg Foundation for Education

vitalink was engaged in 2015 to build a brand platform for the newly formed Dereck Whittenburg Foundation (https://thedwfoundation.org/). The mission of the Foundation is to extend the hands of financial assistance to deserving college students that find themselves facing the hindrance of finance as the barrier to their completion of college degrees. Their mantra: "Dream. Believe. Work. Now Finish!"

The Foundation has given scholarships totaling over one million dollars over the past 10+ years to students from multiple colleges and universities in the Triangle area of North Carolina. One of their first scholarship winners just had her White Coat Ceremony and started seeing dental patients. Another is now teaching elementary school here in NC.

The Foundation’s fundraising efforts include an annual celebrity golf tournament and other fun events bringing like-minded donors together. vitalink is proud to continue to support the DW Foundation in its efforts to help college students complete their degrees while minimizing student debt.
